Fascia Covers

Sun Glow is now carrying the Fascia Covers for our 3" and 4" fascia.  These decorative end plates add a finished touch to the 3" and 4" fascias by covering the end of the fascia bracket.  The Fascia Covers are used in situations where the fascia brackets can be clearly seen.  They come in colours to match our 3" and 4" fascia (white, black, cream, brown, and anodized).
New Domain Name for Sun Glow

The Sun Glow website and email addresses just became easier to remember.  We have replaced sunglowwindowcoverings.com with mysunglow.com.

For now both addresses will work equally, but it is recommended that you update your contacts and bookmarks to use mysunglow.com in place of sunglowwindowcoverings.com.
Automation Training

Thanks to an inquisitive crowd, the expertise of Somfy's Serge Theriault and our own Phil Capello, the first Automation Training session was an illuminating introduction to the world of motorized shades.  The subjects covered included, automation practices, basic troubleshooting, and methods for assisting customers through the home automation process.  Thank you to everyone who attended.

The second training session in this series has been scheduled for September 30th and will provide more advanced information on programming.  This session is highly recommended for installers and other personnel that may work on-site.  Solid programming ensures smoother installations.  Ultimately, it's about having confidence to take on any automation job and increasing the potential of your company.

Details:
When: September 30th, 2009.
Time: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, lunch is included.

Linking Shades

Two new brackets from Rollease will provide a more sophisticated option for adjacent shades when using the Skyline system.  Both brackets reduce the light gap by permitting neighbouring shades to share a single bracket.  A single Universal Skyline Bracket can join a clutch and pin end; this reduces the light gap to 3/4"-7/8".  However, when using the Universal Skyline Bracket the drive and chain will be on the right side for both shades.   The Intermediate Bracket is designed to join two pin ends.  This leaves an even smaller light gap of 5/8" and places the drive and chains on the far left and right of the joined shades.  In both cases, each joined shade is still controlled individually and a single Decora 8 and Decora 16 can house all of the units.

Reloadable Battery

Somfy's long awaited reloadable battery tube is now available.  By allowing end-users to opt for standard AA batteries instead of a proprietary battery wand, Somfy has provided a more convenient and cost effective solution for truly wireless automated window treatments.  The reloadable battery tube features a screw off cap that allows for simplified battery replacement. 8 AA lithium batteries are recommended.

Decora  8 and 16, three more colours

Due to increased customer demand, Sun Glow is adding 3 more colour options to the Decora series valances.  The valances and end caps will now be available in cream, black, and anodized in addition to white and chocolate, and will be available for order immediately.
