Sun Glow News for APRIL 2009

Dear michael,

We are very excited to tell you about two immediate additions to our product line:  SUN GLOW SUNSCREEN™, excellent quality at a lower price point and PURE SCREEN™, a fabric that cleans the air.

We  attended R&T in Stuttgart where we sourced some new products.  We are still investigating these new products and will introduce them  to you as soon as possible.  We also viewed product releases from our current suppliers - Phifer, Rollease and Somfy - which are described below.

Sun Glow made a donation of window treatments to the RED DOOR Shelter this year.  This charity,  impressed me with the substantial contribution they make to society.  Read the full story with before and after pictures - we even managed to work in some GRAPHIC SHADES.

As always, I welcome your comments and suggestions.

Our offices will be closed on Good Friday, Friday April 10, 2009.

Have a Happy Easter

Sincerely,

Vivian Kanargelidis
President

QUALIFY FOR HOME RENOVATION TAX CREDIT

The HRTC will apply to eligible home renovation expenditures for work performed, or goods acquired, after January 27, 2009 and before February 1, 2010, pursuant to agreements entered into after January 27, 2009.

The 15-per-cent credit may be claimed on the portion of eligible expenditures exceeding $1,000, but not more than $10,000, meaning that the maximum tax credit that can be received is $1,350.

The credit can be claimed on eligible expenditures incurred on one or more of an individual's eligible dwellings. Properties eligible for the HRTC include houses, cottages and condominium units that are owned for personal use.

Taxpayers can claim the HRTC when filing their 2009 tax return.

A FABRIC THAT CLEANS THE AIR

INTRODUCING PURE SCREEN ™

Pure Screen™ is a sun control fabric that actually cleans the air. A special coating on the fabric enables it to accumulate harmful gases and bad odors on it´s surface and converts them in a catalytic process into harmless substances such as water (H20) and carbon dioxide(CO2).

Ideal for long term care facilities,  hospitals, hotels, restaurants, residential settings, and anywhere elevated levels of airborne irritants and chemicals exist.                                            More on Pure Screen

INTRODUCING NEW SUN GLOW SUNSCREEN™

We are proud to introduce SUN GLOW SUNSCREEN™.   Sunscreen demand has been increasing as it has become the standard in commercial applications and is also increasingly being used in residential applications.
In response to our dealer demand for a sunscreen at a lower price point, we have found a product that we are confident in and know will meet the demands of our discriminating dealers.

We currently stock Sun Glow Sunscreen™ in 3% (SG3) and a matching 5% (SG5) openness in two popular colours, Stone and Linen.  Both are available in 63", 78", and 98" width rolls of 33 linear yards.  The composition is 72% PVC and 28% polyester.  The fabric is fire retardant, antimicrobial, and is light weight at 15.34 gs/sq. yd.  Additional colours and openness factors will be added to Sun Glow Sunscreen™ in the coming months.  If you would like to receive some samples, email
Dawn.

What's New at R&T
The R&T show in Stuttgart, Germany

PHIFER
Phifer had numerous changes.  The items mentioned below will not be effective until after the window covering show in May, but more realistically, later in the summer. To find out more about what's new with Phifer click here.

SOMFY
Somfy has been making changes and even adding some new items to their already comprehensive automation product line.  We've known since last year that the new Decoflex WireFree RTS would be replacing the Decora Wall Switch, but not many are familiar with their URTSI (Universal RTS Inferface) and Sunis Indoor WireFree RTS. To find out more about what's new with Somfy click here.

ROLLEASE
RollEase has added more depth to their Skyline series by introducing several new Skyline items and by updating several of their existing items.  To find out more about what's new with the Skyline series click here.
